- Campin's settle, in this picture,
has a back rail on hinges, so that it can be swung across, allowing
people to sit facing the fire. In the background is an ornate
carved dressoir and a folding x frame stool. The top lights of
the window are glazed with small clear panes, while the lower
part has only shutters.
